The Event:
The leading global charity to cure type 1 diabetes, JDRF, staged an opulent fundraising event at the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair in London on 17th September 2018.
The elegant one-of-a-kind Venetian-themed evening sought to ‘unmask type 1 diabetes’, raise awareness of this hidden condition affecting approximately 400,000 people in the UK, and raise money to go towards ground-breaking research with the hope to one day unmask the cure.
During the lavish affair, guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés, and were able to savour a private view of the exquisite arts and antiques, whilst illusionist, Jamie Raven entertaining guests with his magic. The LAPADA restaurant was transformed into a magical setting for the black-tie dinner where guests were serenaded by the Midnight Blue jazz trio before enjoying a feast created by celebrity chef, Theo Randall, regaled by renowned auctioneer Hugh Edmeades and a stunning performance by the London Festival Opera.
